Konomap®
KonoMap® information sharing system for reducing the work of facility inspections
KonoMap® is a facility information sharing system we have created to make the sharing and utilization of on-site information more efficient by associating GPS data with photos captured on a smartphone. In the past, facility inspections relied on visual on-site checks and detailed reports, which placed a large burden on workers. With the development of KonoMap®, it is now possible to use GPS to accurately ascertain positional information and make recording work more efficient, which helps simplify preliminary surveys, planned actions, and reporting work. Furthermore, organizing and sharing on-site data including photos and positional information enables partial AI analysis of inspection work, which can raise the quality of work and aid swift decision-making. We are currently focusing on using the app in the steel industry, but plan to expand its use to logistics sites and indoor sites such as warehouses, as we aim to contribute to stable operations at a wider range of locations.

Business application development tool
KonoMap® is a work assistance system that makes facility inspection work more efficient, and was created to meet the needs of steelworks. Because the system is a no-code tool, it enables Web applications to be easily developed and customized for on-site work without the need for programming knowledge or skills. This makes reporting more efficient, the sharing of information swifter, and helps improve overall site productivity.

Integrated management and real-time monitoring of sensor information
The system enables real-time centralized monitoring of the operation status of multiple sensors and various sensing devices. Data can also be visualized according to positional information to provide intuitive understanding of the on-site status and thereby help detect signs of failure or other problems at an early stage. By performing integrated management of such information in a single application, confirmation work can be made more efficient and swift actions can be taken. We aim to prevent problems before they occur and help improve safety, and thereby provide robust support for safe and secure operations.

Future developments
We will adopt an AI engine to visualize all kinds of on-site information in a digital twin. We will then be able to identify on-site changes that were previously invisible by integrating this with diverse information such as drone-captured video and data entry base on AI-OCR. By understanding real-time on-site information with high precision, we can achieve swift decision-making based on analysis and prediction, and achieve continuous work improvements.
